"Every journalist should be like this guy." — Snoop Dogg

If you're looking for someone who can impress rappers, ask hard questions like, "Who in 'Fast & Furious' is the fastest and furiousest," and convince Sen. Elizabeth Warren to do an interview all about The Rock's "Ballers," then you've come to the right place.

I've worked in the entertainment industry for almost a decade as a writer-reporter, having spent six years at Entertainment Weekly, before branching out to contribute at Vanity Fair, GQ, Esquire, Netflix, The Ringer, Vulture and more. During my time at EW, I did a bit of everything, including hosting a podcast series with the cast of the "Fast & Furious" franchise, writing cover stories on "Fast & Furious" and "Space Jam: A New Legacy," profiling the likes of Wesley Snipes and Ethan Hawke, and handling dozens of movie and TV show beats. (I dare you to find someone else equally ingrained in the Shameless and Power Universes!)

You can currently hear me on SiriusXM's "The Filmography," read me at any of the aforementioned outlets, or find me hard at work on my upcoming book. Oh, and, of course, also constantly stressing about all of the Boston sports teams.

Should you want to connect, I can be reached via my social media accounts and dereklawrence05@gmail.com.
